Privacy Policy & Data Security

Transparency, data minimisation, and strict operational privacy are built into every layer of AppLedger.

1. Our Core Privacy Commitment

AppLedger ("we", "our", "us") respects your privacy. Our core desktop application and marketing website are designed with data isolation principles: we do not track your browsing activity across the web, sell visitor data, or utilize third-party advertising tracking scripts.

2. Information Collected via Contact & Pre-Booking Forms

When you voluntarily reach out to us using our contact form on contact or reserve early access via the pre-booking form on index, we collect:

  • Full Name: To address you in our communications.
  • Email Address: To send direct replies, reservation updates, and auto-reply confirmations.
  • Role, Organization Name & Type: To categorize your team's early access deployment profile.
  • Employee Count & Operational Reason: To prepare optimal onboarding guidance for your team.
  • Subject & Message Content: To investigate and resolve your technical inquiry.

3. Database Storage & Data Retention

When you submit the contact form, pre-booking reservation, or exit-intent guide form, your details are securely recorded in our production database (appledger_db) hosted on an encrypted DigitalOcean infrastructure.

  • Pre-booking Reservations: Saved in the prebookings table (full name, email, role, organization name/type, employee count, operational reason, IP address, and submission timestamp) to process early access batching.
  • Contact Inquiries: Saved in the contact_messages table (name, email, subject, message, IP address, and timestamp) to respond to support requests.
  • Guide Downloads: Saved in the governance_guide_downloads table (email address, IP address, timestamp) to manage guide distribution.

Database access is restricted to localhost authenticated services using least-privilege credentials. Data is retained for as long as necessary to fulfill early access deployments, provide ongoing support, or satisfy legal requirements.

Your Right to Erasure: If you would like your submitted information completely purged from our database records, simply email us at support@appledger.in with your request, and we will delete your records within 48 hours.

4. Local Browser Storage & Cookies

We do not use advertising or cross-site tracking cookies. We utilize browser local storage technologies solely for UI state preferences:

  • localStorage.getItem('ledger-theme'): Remembers whether you selected Light or Dark Operations mode.
  • sessionStorage.getItem('ledger_announcement_dismissed'): Remembers if you dismissed the top release announcement bar during your current session.

5. Third-Party External Resources

To deliver clean typography, this website loads Google Fonts (Fraunces and Inter) from Google's CDN (fonts.googleapis.com and fonts.gstatic.com). No other external analytics (such as Google Analytics or Meta Pixel) are loaded on this website.
